During a primary season in which extreme leftists celebrated several wins, a common question was “what’s their real platform?”
A taste: Abolish ICE, the Senate and Thanksgiving; defund the police, open the borders, ruin the Jews, empty the jails and prisons, tax the rich punitively, ban data centers, hate and rob the whites, prosecute and destroy MAGA. And (unspoken) consolidate power.
People are voting for this. But notice, little about the schools. No Islamo-Marxists dictating “big changes for your schoolkids”?
Why? Because it’s already been implemented, fool. They’ve spent the past several years consolidating it. And tools like Gov. Gavin Newsom and Attorney General Rob Bonta help by denouncing, suing, harassing, and urging others to misbehave against anyone who doesn’t like it.
In June, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled schools can’t keep secrets from parents about their children. Pfffft, California does it anyway, defiantly choosing to keep secrets. Consolidation.
Bonta, like Newsom a slick hard-left political activist, used your taxpayer money to sue Chino Hills schools (he lost) for the shocking act of telling the truth to parents. Consolidation.
Recently, Bonta said he has spent more than $19 million of your dollars to sue Trump. The cases are headed to the waste basket but still will 1) give Bonta and Newsom space to grandstand, and 2) bring legal action to policy disagreements. Consolidation, at taxpayer expense.
For schools, Newsom used a hollowed-out bill to gut the elected office of the state Superintendent of Public Instruction and pull its business inside the governor’s office – because after decades of running things, his allies are about to lose. The governor, consolidator extraordinaire, said “nyet.”
Sonia Shaw is the one candidate in all of California who actually cares about the educational welfare and prospects of the state’s children. She’s the person for whom Newsom and his legislative pals disenfranchised the California electorate. She’s going to win and they know it.
Shaw has spent years on the Chino Hills school board helping parents get rid of politicized curriculum, unconstitutional practices that have been “legalized” in California, textbooks containing perversion, and directly confronting the power-hungry demagogues who have been imposing it.
California taxpayers (as evidenced by the derelictions of Newsom and Bonta) are going to a great deal of trouble and expense to ensure Shaw has no say in how schoolchildren are educated. Consolidation.
The state already went to great expense and trouble to create and impose its PRISM program in the public schools for LGBTQ+ students. That died with the Supreme Court’s ruling in the Mirabelli complaint against Bonta, but, like the “1619 Project,” which falsely rewrites history and is force-fed in public schools, nobody is making sure it goes away for good. Consolidation.
Shaw’s priority is schoolchildren. Everybody else gets with the unions to divide the considerable, taxpayer-supplied cash that finances schools.
Public-sector unions in California are a political juggernaut that calls the shots in Sacramento.
If you seek re-election, you will do as they say. And what they say is as radically left-wing as anything in U.S. politics today. Many of the worst practices in California schools – now being emulated elsewhere as Education Secretary Linda McMahon detailed recently – are direct results of union action.
Boys in girls bathrooms and trans boys in girls sports, lurid sex for little kids, laws against teachers telling parents the truth, moving the elected superintendent’s functions into the governor’s office – the union helps the state implement their common partisan agenda, then helps push laws making it illegal to question them. Power consolidation.
Remember Attorney General Merrick Garland instructing his FBI to treat protesting parents as terrorists? The left still says it’s a scurrilous lie. It’s not; he did order the agency to “take the lead” probing “threats” by parents the National School Boards Association described as “domestic terrorists.” That led to Garland’s order. Garland was having his FBI do some thugging on American parents, and the left just doesn’t want to admit it. Consolidation.
The board later rescinded and apologized; nobody else did. Consolidation again.
In California, most power is consolidated behind public-sector unions, which have demanded pay-and-benefits packages that have pushed nearly every jurisdiction in the state to near bankruptcy (some have gone bankrupt). Unfunded union obligations, for which taxpayers are on the hook, run into the hundreds of billions of dollars – part of the now-trillion-dollar debt the state carries.
No public-sector unions are more wealthy, powerful and influential than the so-called teacher unions. The farthest-left politicians who have been ruining the once-golden state are their check-cashing darlings.
Unless the voters stop them, these wealthy nihilists will take the state all the way down to anarchy and chaos. They’ve already dragged the state a good part of the way.
The cost of living in California has for decades been higher than in other states, with heavy taxes, fees, regulations, rules, policies and edicts from Newsom and many others. They’ve done this for generations but now that it’s getting in the news, only one answer: It’s all Trump’s fault. Consolidation.
Worst of all, the next generation is under direct attack by California’s political class. Schoolkids get blasted with politics, sex and gender baloney, but lag badly nationally in language and math, even though the state pours enormous sums of cash into public schools.
Most of that money benefits the unions and their allies, not children in schools. Teachers spend their personal money to buy supplies while moneybags union leaders ride limos to fancy dinners with their politicians and give speeches about how bad the other side is. A very sad consolidation.
What your kid gets out it is … zip, zilch, zero, nada. Well, the kids do get sex-and-politics instruction. Union members are unwitting funders of this treachery, and our schoolchildren are its direct victims.
